Design Style: Modern Organic Done Right
Our modern organic approach centers around neutral tones, natural finishes, and smart functionality. Across all four rooms, we used a consistent mix of:
- White and medium-toned oak cabinetry
- Porcelain slabs and tile for durability and ease of maintenance
- Natural stone elements to bring depth and texture
- Thoughtful lighting and smart storage solutions
Primary Bathroom: Light-Filled Spa Retreat
This space was fully reimagined to feel like a private spa while delivering everyday functionality. We reworked the layout to create better flow and added architectural elements to bring in natural light.
Highlights:
- Natural stone slab shower walls with integrated bench and niche
- Large-format floor tiles to reduce grout lines and add continuity
- Freestanding tub centered under a newly enlarged window
- Skylight installed to bring daylight into the space
- White oak vanity with a dedicated dressing table and abundant storage
- Polished nickel fixtures to complement the soft organic palette
This bathroom blends calming tones with luxe materials, creating a retreat that feels effortless and grounded.
Kids’ Bathroom: Sleek, Durable, and Family-Friendly
For the kids’ bath, we prioritized low maintenance surfaces and ample function while keeping the design cohesive with the rest of the home.
What We Did:
- Removed the existing tub and replaced it with a walk-in shower
- Installed double sinks to accommodate growing kids and busy mornings
- Used porcelain tile throughout—walls and floors—for a seamless, durable finish
- Selected a medium-stained oak vanity to add warmth and contrast
- Included a handheld shower for versatility and ease of cleaning
This bath is built to last, with hardworking finishes that don’t sacrifice style.
Guest Bathroom: Bold Details in a Small Space
The smallest bathroom in the home still packs a visual punch. We played with pattern, shape, and scale to make this guest bath feel special without overwhelming the footprint.
Design Elements:
- Patterned marble floor tile for a graphic, elevated foundation
- Large penny rounds on the shower floor for soft texture and slip resistance
- Porcelain slabs on the shower walls for a polished, grout-free surface
- A floating vanity to keep the footprint feeling open
- A hanging pendant light instead of traditional sconces to draw the eye and save wall space
This bath balances rich materials and smart design to create an inviting experience for guests.
Laundry Room: Functional and Beautiful Utility
This once-cramped laundry room had no windows and very little usable storage. We transformed it into a bright, highly functional workspace with smart layout and carefully selected materials.
Feature | Before | After |
Flooring | Standard tile | Checkerboard pattern for a classic, lively look |
Lighting | Overhead fluorescent | Solo-tube installed for natural daylight |
Storage | Open shelving | Custom cabinetry with upper and lower storage |
Sink | Small and shallow | Deep utility sink with modern gooseneck faucet |
Counter space | None | Ample counter space for folding and sorting |
This room now works as hard as it looks good, with form and function in perfect balance.
Cohesive Design, Room to Room
Though each space was designed to meet different functional needs, they share a common language of natural materials and restrained color palettes. This kind of visual consistency across a home makes every room feel intentional and elevated—even laundry.
Unifying Details:
- Use of oak cabinetry in various tones
- Consistent porcelain and stone selections
- Minimalist fixtures and soft metal finishes
- Clean-lined hardware and tailored lighting
Material Summary
Room | Key Materials |

Why This Project Works
- Material Cohesion: Repeating certain finishes (oak, porcelain, slab materials) helped the entire home feel unified but not repetitive.
- Smart Lighting: From skylights to pendants to solo-tubes, we layered lighting solutions that support each space’s function.
- Storage Strategy: Every room was designed to include as much closed storage as possible—something our clients consistently value.
